Franklin Township fire officials have declared the large brush fire in the Sunny Rest nudist camp under control.

It was reported to be caused by a fallen utility pole, with live electrical lines setting the heavy brush and leaves on fire, fueled by high winds.

It is not known how many acres were burned in the fire.

Twice fire officials raced to the parking lot of the Blue Ridge TV 13 studio nearby when flames raced through the embankment traveling toward the structure in heavy brush and a nearby field.
