On the Grind Association is holding several events to raise funds for the Skyline Playground and Skatepark in Lehighton.

The proceeds will go directing into the playground for new equipment and help with the start of the skatepark.The organization is currently collecting gently used shoes now through April 9.Drop-off locations include Mahoning Valley Cinema, Carbon County Environmental Center and Claypooles. The group is looking for more businesses to place boxes.Pickup of shoes could also be arranged.The group will also host the Skyline Dodgeball tournament, which includes a Chinese auction and bake sale, beginning at noon March 18 at the Lehighton Recreation Center.Donation is $5 per player; teams of six to play.A bingo night will take place from 4 to 9 p.m. March 25 at the Lehighton Recreation Center.For more information on any event, visit OntheGrind Association on Facebook or email
