Nesquehoning police seeking work-release inmate who didn’t return to prison

A Carbon County inmate is facing additional charges after he left the prison for work last week and has yet to return.

Nesquehoning police are currently looking for Joshua Lee Gundry, 29, of Hudsondale Street, Weatherly, who now faces a charge for escape.

According to the affidavit, officer Glenn Laninger was contacted by a sergeant at the prison at 9:14 p.m. on May 2.

The sergeant told police that Gundry had failed to return to prison after his work shift at Kovatch Ford in Nesquehoning. He was scheduled to return no later than 7:15 p.m.

Gundry is still on the loose, and an arrest warrant for him has been issued.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Gundry are asked to call Nesquehoning police at 570-669-9111.
