State police at Fern Ridge issued three traffic citations to a New Jersey company after a vehicle stop at 8:04 a.m. April 15 on Interstate 80 in Kidder Township.

Freight Runners LLC. of Somerset, was cited for unlawful activities and will receive fines and costs totaling $422.

The firm was cited for operating or allowing to operate a motor carrier vehicle in violation of driver out-of-service criteria, and two counts of operating or permitting to operate a vehicle not equipped as required.
