Soup for a Cause at MCT branches

Homemade soup will be exchanged for donations made at Mauch Chunk Trust Company to help benefit Family Promise of Carbon County.

The bank's local locations will host Soup for a Cause on Thursday to raise funds for the nonprofit. Lobby Soup Day will be held between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the following MCT branch locations: Redner's Warehouse Branch Office in Nesquehoning, North Street Branch Office in Jim Thorpe, Pine Point Plaza Branch Office in Albrightsville and the Lehighton Branch Office at 735 Blakeslee Blvd.Rainbow's End Café and Dom N Ali Restaurant will donate the soup containers for the day."Family Promise will put all of the funds to good use through the programs they offer," said Dianna Ahner, community office manager of the MCT Redner's Warehouse branch in Nesquehoning. "This is MCT's way of bringing attention to a great organization. MCT is known for serving the financial needs of our customers but we also believe that serving the needs of our communities is our privilege."
