Nesquehoning police are warning residents that someone is dressing up like a clown in the borough.

A photo of the person was taken by an unknown source at the gazebo in the New Columbus Park Thursday night and is circulating on social media. This is an ongoing issue throughout the commonwealth.Nesquehoning Police along with multiple other departments in the Carbon County area have been responding to clown sightings in wooded areas scaring residents/children.The police department also received another complaint Thursday about a clown sighting in the area of the footbridge in the woods following individuals. The clown was described to be wearing white, red and blue with yellow stripes.Police are asking residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the department at 570-669-9111.
