Craft show, sidewalk sale held in Lansford

Visitors flocked to Lansford Alive!'s first craft and Downtown Merchants' sidewalk sale on Saturday.

Shoppers browsed vendor booths, snatching up Christmas ornaments, handcrafted jewelry, wind chimes, night lights and Native American crafts. The fragrances of savory pulled pork, potato cakes, ribbon fries and meatballs wafted through the throngs.Participating Ridge Street merchants and organizations included Silvers Used Book Store, Porvaznik's Flowers, Lone Wolf Collectibles LLC, Thankful Thrift Store, Grace Community Church, Rays Religious Icons, Blue Ridge Communications, The TIMES NEWS, Valley Athletic Supply and the Legion Riders. Riley Street merchants include Northeast Chemical and Pool Supply and Panther Valley Lumber.Plans are in the works for a second event next fall.
