Pocono arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on several arrests made by officers in recent days.

On June 30 about 9:01 p.m. officers were dispatched to 1417 Oberon Road to a report made by Sabrina Beadle, that her 16-year-old son was out of control in the residence and holding a knife.Upon arrival officers determined the juvenile was attempting to get his mother to give him money and when she did not he became enraged and threatened her with a knife. The teen was taken into custody and placed in the Lehigh County Juvenile Detention Center pending a hearing in Monroe County court.On Friday, July 1, about 4:15 p.m. officers were on Cricket Lane in Pocono Summit investigating an incident. During the course of the investigation Kimberly Alvarado, 19, and Raiza Olivo, 18, of Pocono Summit, began fighting in front of the officers.Both were taken into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment, police said.Also on Friday, about 1:40 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop along Long Pond Road, in Tunkhannock Township, for an expired inspection sticker. The driver was identified as Frederick Blackmon, 40, of Blakeslee. A drivers check was run and it was learned there was an active warrant for Blackmon's arrest issued out of New Jersey for aggravated assault.He was taken into custody and placed in the county prison in Sndyersville pending extradition back to New Jersey.On Saturday, July 2, about 2:45 a.m. police were dispatched to Essex Drive in Pocono Farms East for a report of a group of people fighting in the road. Upon arrival officers identified those fighting.As a result Timothy Forras, 18, Steve Frederick 23, and Patrick Howell, 20, all of Tobyhanna, were cited for disorderly conduct, police said.On Sunday, July 3, about 2:20 a.m. officers observed a male stumbling in the middle of Edgewood Drive. The male was identified as Jesus Matute, 19, of Yonkers, N.Y. Matute was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was cited for underage drinking.On Tuesday, July 5, about 12:49 a.m. police stopped a vehicle along SR611 at Cayuage Drive for a littering violation. During the stop police were informed that one of the passengers, Joseph Rodriguez, 22, of Coolbaugh Township, had an active protection from abuse (PFA) order against another passenger in the vehicle, Toni Feliciano, 21, of Pocono Summit.Since the order was still active Feliciano was taken into custody. She was taken to the police station for processing and later placed in the county prison pending arraignment.
