Story hour

The Panther Valley Public Library Spring Preschool Story Hour will begin March 8. The free sessions are open to children ages 3-5.The story hour sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. for 11 weeks, concluding May 17.The children will enjoy story time and design crafts.Lenten worshipWednesday evening Lenten worship at 7 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford. Soup and sandwich supper beginning at 6:15.Everyone is welcome to share in the fellowship of the meal before gathering for worship and fed on God's word.If Panther Valley schools are closed or dismissed early for bad weather, the supper and worship are canceled.Call Pastor Marjorie, 570-273-4038, for more information.Baseball, softball sign-upsLansford Babe Ruth baseball will be holding sign-ups for 13- to 15-year-old players from 6 to 8 p.m. March 1, March 2 and March 9 at the Lansford American Legion, 3 W. Ridge St. Please use the side alley entrance.
