October 26, 1951 Lansford scores a pair of second-half touchdowns, both on fumble recoveries, to gain a 13-13 tie against unbeaten Cass Township. The Panthers' first tally comes on a 50-yard return by Ziggy Kosciolek in the third quarter. After Cass coughed up the ball, Lou Dignazio recovers but he also fumbles. Kosciolek picks up the ball and races to the end zone. With four minutes to play, Lansford's Steve Vitek fumbles into the end zone, where George Major recovers for the score. Eddie Chuckran runs in the extra-point for the tie.
