State police at the Schuylkill Haven bararcks reported Floyd Freeman, 29, of Myerstown, was arrested and jailed after police responded to a public drunkenness case at 1:19 a.m. March 26 at the corner of Main and Pine streets in Tremont.

Pollice said Freeman was consuming alcoholic beverages and discarding the empty cans of beer on the roadway and sidewalk, and was called the Schuylkill County Communications Center multiple times without needing emergency services. police said he refused to leave the area after having been instructed to do so several times.Police said he was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct and public drunkenness and was arraigned before Magisterial District Justice James K. Reiley. The man was jailed in lieu of $20,000 bail.
