September 23, 1995 — The Northern Lehigh boys and Tamaqua girls capture team titles at the Second Annual Bulldog Invitational. The Bulldogs, led by a third-place finish from Tim Pfluger, finish with 69 points to better runner-up Tamaqua’s 78. Sixteen different schools compete in the event. Nolehi also receives a top ten finish from Tony Becker, who places eighth. The Raiders’ Kyle Dunkelberger ends in fourth place, while Northwestern’s Bruce Kite takes sixth. The Tamaqua girls place three runners in the top 15 — Steph Lisella (ninth), Linda Lazur (13th), and Monica Johnson (15th) — to outpoint second place Northampton, 68-86. Palmerton’s Amanda Samok finishes third, while Pleasant Valley’s Karyn Kern takes fourth.
