September 24, 1976 — Lehighton receives touchdowns from eight different players and sets a new school record for points in a game in a 62-6 rout of Saucon Valley. Greg Ebbert reaches the end zone twice, and Dave Warner throws a pair of TD tosses in the big win. Kevin Snyder gets the Indians on the board first with a 2-yard scoring run before Ebbert, who carries 12 times for 101 yards, extends the lead on a 6-yard tally. Lyle Stern (8-112) breaks free for a 74-yard touchdown run, while Warner hits Scott Kocher with a 31-yard TD and Craig Wertman with a 17-yard strike. The winners, coached by Jim Wentz, also receive touchdown runs from Darryl Donnelly, Rick Kirkendall and Rick Moyer.
