A Monroe County teen has been charged with retail theft.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers responded to the Walmart store in Mount Pocono about 2:50 p.m. on June 26 to a report of a male in custody for theft.On scene the male was identified as Christopher McLane, 18, of Albrightsville. McLane allegedly attempted to leave the store with $553.46 worth of merchandise without paying for it.He was charged with a misdemeanor one count of retail theft.
