St. John Neumann Regional School recently held its 6th annual "Fore the Students" Golf Tournament at Blue Ridge Country Club in Palmerton.
There were 100 registered golfers that turned out to support the school and take part in a day of fun, despite a few rain drops to start. The event is one of the school's largest fundraisers: last year, more than $9,000 was raised, and coordinators of this year's event hope to surpass that figure and hit the $10,000 grand mark.Students also take part in the day, by helping distribute prizes and raffle items to the winners. They also make a point to thank all the golfers for their loyalty and support to the school.School faculty and administrators are also very grateful to the local and regional businesses who continue to lend a hand in financially supporting the students.A great day had by all, and everyone is already looking forward to next year. All proceeds raised from the event are used to support the school's students.
