The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation announces that two members of its Board of Directors will be receiving awards this fall.

Carol Obando-Derstine, Regional Affairs Director, PPL Electric Utilities, will receive the “Leadership by Example Award” at the SkillsUSA Annual Meeting & Leadership by Example Award Breakfast on Oct. 16 at The Centennial Event Center at Homewood Suites in Center Valley. Obando-Derstine will be honored for her dedication to the SkillsUSA Council and Career & Technical Education.

On Nov. 7, Barbara Green, president of Blue Mountain Resort, will receive the “Chamber Champion Award” from the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce at their Annual Meeting at the Wind Creek Event Center in Bethlehem. The Chamber Champion Award honors a business leader who strategically advances the work of the Chamber.
