A Tamaqua man has been cited after he was found lying on a sidewalk in front of his home on July 30.

Borough police received a call at 12:34 a.m. about a man down in front of 129 Orwigsburg St. On scene they found Matthew J. Oliver, 43, in a drunken state. Oliver told officers he had been drinking alcohol "all day." Due to his condition, EMS was called and transported Oliver to St. Luke's Miners Hospital in Coaldale.He was cited for public drunkenness.
