An Albrightsville admitted in Carbon County court on Thursday to lying on a gun transfer application.

Adam Joel Menech, 35, pleaded guilty to one count of false swearing before Judge Steven R. Serfass. A charge of materially false written statement was dropped in a plea bargain.Menech admitted going to Eastern Arms & Outfitters in Penn Forest Township on Nov. 3, 2016, and filled out an application for a gun transfer. State police at Fern Ridge said for the question concerning prior criminal convictions, Menech answered “no,” when he did have a prior conviction.Serfass deferred sentencing.
