The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has closed the beach at Tuscarora State Park in Schuylkill County to swimming.

Effective today, the beach is closed because of high bacteria counts in a water sample taken Wednesday.Other activities at the part, such as camping, picnicking, hiking and fishing are proceeding as usual.
