Fire companies from throughout Carbon county battled a stubborn dwelling fire Sunday afternoon in Lehigh Township, Carbon County.

The fire was first reported at 5:30 p.m. in the home along Waldon Lane, about five miles north of Weatherly. When fire fighters arrived on scene flames and heavy smoke were showing.

The only access to the scene was a one-lane dirt road. No injuries were reported in the incident.
