The theft of Xanax from a Girardville woman from her worksite is being investigated by state police at the Frackville barracks.

Police have filed charges of theft and receiving stolen property against the woman's co-worker, Daniel Clayton Carl of Coal Township.The victim is Shannon Willis, who told police the Xanax was stolen from her while she was at work at Jeld-Weld Inc., Ringtown. Police said the investigation revealed Carl stole the prescribed medication from the victim.
