November 14, 1987 — Northwestern’s defense intercepts four passes, three of them by Steve Clay, to help the Tigers close their season with a 17-10 Centennial League comeback victory over Stroudsburg. Clay’s picks all occur in the second half, giving him 11 interceptions on the season. The winners, coached by Bob Mitchell, actually trail 10-0 before rallying.
