A Carbon County man entered guilty pleas in seven pending criminal cases on Thursday afternoon in the county court.
Christopher Allen Dutko, 30, of Palmerton, entered the pleas before Judge Steven R. Serfass.Dutko pleaded to one count each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance — heroin and receiving stolen property, two counts of criminal trespass and five counts of theft.Dutko was charged for various incidents that occurred in Palmerton in which he admitted stealing various tools, electronics, cellphones and copper piping. State police charged him in another incident from taking aluminum from a former employer valued at more than $15,000 and selling at a scrap metal site for $10,000. The Palmerton incidents all occurred in March 2016 while the state police arrest occurred in May 2015.Dutko admitted to a long-term drug addiction problem which he said he has addressed by spending more than seven months in an inpatient rehabilitation program run by the Salvation Army.Serfass deferred sentencing and ordered the adult probation office to prepare a presentence investigation report.
