TYM REMIX, a revamping of Tamaqua Youth Ministries, will hold its first meeting at 6:30

p.m.today at Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 223 E. Broad St.The group is open to everyone in first through 12th grades.TYM REMIX is a committed group of individuals who gather weekly to encourage, nurture, show unconditional acceptance to young people and provide biblical guidance for the day-to-day difficulties of life. Weekly gatherings include conversation, refreshments, connection, activities and learning.For more information, call 570 668-5854.Crime WatchSeveral Tamaqua residents are hoping to revive Tamaqua's dormant Crime Watch organization and have scheduled a public meeting with Schuylkill County District Attorney Christine Holman.The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Tamaqua Community Art Center, 125 Pine St.The group is being re-formed in an effort to help fight the growing drug abuse problem as well as reduce crime and provide an overall better quality of life for residents.
