Fire companies from Carbon, Schuylkill and Luzerne countries responded to a brush fire late Monday afternoon in Packer Township. The fire was reported to the rear of 2371 Wetzel Run Drive in a heavily wooded area. Firefighters utilized all terrain vehicles to fight the blaze.
