State police at Schuylkill Haven

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 45-year-old man from Weston is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after police responded to a call at 7:39 p.m. April 6 on the Centre Turnpike in West Brunswick Township.

Police said they were called to the location to check on the welfare of a conscious motorist in a 2025 Nissan Kicks.

• Two Orwigsburg girls, both aged 15, are facing drug possession charges after police were called to West Market Street, North Manheim Township, at 9:38 a.m. March 14.

• A 74-year-old Orwigsburg man is the victim of a theft incident police are investigating.

They were called to Summer Valley Road, West Brunswick Township, where the victim reported the theft took place between Feb. 1 and March 1.

* A 39-year-old Schuylkill man is facing drug possession charges after police were called to the St. Luke-Geisinger Hospital, West Brunswick Township at 9:48 p.m. April 9.

Police said it was learned the man was in possession of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl. Police said per the hospital’s policy, the drugs were seized and police were notified.
