State police at Lehighton - crashes

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following crashes:

• Robert S. Fisher III, 72, and Jamie E. Fisher, 47, both of Albrightsville, had minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash at 6:24 p.m. Feb. 25 on Kunkletown Road, Ross Township, police said.

Jamie Fisher was transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg, police said. Robert Fisher, who was the driver of the vehicle, was not transported from the scene.

Police said he was driving a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe that rear-ended a 2014 Hyundai Veloster operated by Eugene P. Berg Jr., 55, of Palmerton, who was uninjured.

Police said both vehicles had disabling damages and were towed from the scene.

Robert Fisher was cited after the crash, according to police.

• Roberta D. Anthony, 81, of Lehighton, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:09 p.m., March 19 on Germans Road, East Penn Township.

Police said the severity of her injuries is unknown. She was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital.

They said she was driving a 2013 Kia Optima southbound when it traveled off the road and hit a tree. Police said she had to be freed from the car by emergency personnel.

• Joseph Binder Jr., 63, of Jim Thorpe, had minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash at 3:09 p.m. April 8 on Interchange Road, Towamensing Township.

Police said he did not require a medical transport from the scene.

They said the crash occurred as Anthony Bulawa, 18, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2018 Honda northbound when it entered the southbound lane and hit the 2015 Toyota Tacoma driven by Binder.

Bulawa, who was uninjured, was cited after the crash, according to police.

• Police said the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a crash at 3:14 a.m. March 11 on Mauch Chunk Street in Mahoning Township was uninjured.

They did not identify the driver or give a hometown, but said a 2006 Subaru that was southbound hit a large rock in the roadway and damaged its wheel assembly. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• Tyler K. Frank, 18, of Kunkletown, was injured in a two-vehicle head-on crash at 7:04 a.m. April 2 on Forest Inn Road, Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Palmerton Community Ambulance Association to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.

They said the crash occurred when he was driving a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta southbound and failed to negotiate a right curve. The car traveled into the opposite lane and hit a 2005 Subaru Legacy driven by James C. Gibson Jr., 32, of Palmerton. Police said both vehicles had disabling damage and were towed from the scene.

Gibson was uninjured in the crash.

Frank was cited after the crash, according to police.

• A 40-year-old woman from Palmerton is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-vehicle crash at 1:22 p.m. April 5 on Route 248 in Palmerton.

Police said she was driving a 2019 Subaru Outback at the time of the crash.
