Two people were hurt in a one-vehicle crash at 9:05 a.m. March 14 on the Tresckow Road in Banks Township, according to state police at the Hazleton barracks.

Police said Tai L. Ray, 18, of Hazleton, the driver of the vehicle, and a 17-year-old girl from Beaver Meadows who was her passenger, were transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

Police said the crash occurred when a 2013 Dodge Dart driven northbound by Ray veered off the east side of the road on a curve.

The car overturned several times and came to rest in a culvert off the west side of the road.

It was towed from the scene.

Police said Ray was cited after the crash.
