John Oates, who scored dozens of hits as one-half of the duo Hall & Oates, leads the pack of entertainment coming to local and regional venues over the next couple of weeks.

The singer-songwriter and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, who released his sixth solo album “Reunion” in 2024, will play Penn’s Peak. The Peak also welcomes, among others, John Waite and Peter Noone.

Mauch Chunk Opera House hosts the eighth annual Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival. Wind Creek Event Center’s music lineup includes, among others, Melissa Etheridge and Marilyn Manson, while Sherman Theater welcoming comedian Anjelah Johnson-Reyes.

• John Waite, 8 p.m. April 25. The English pop/rock singer-songwriter, who fronted rock bands the Babys and Bad English, scored his biggest solo hit with the 1984 single “Missing You.” Singer-songwriter/guitarist Jeffrey Gaines will open.

• Peter Noone, 8 p.m. April 26. Born in Manchester, England, Noone released seven studio albums in the 1960s as frontman of pop/rock group Herman’s Hermits. The act’s hit singles include “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter” and “I’m Henry VIII, I Am.”

• John Oates, 8 p.m. May 1. Raised in North Wales, the musician recorded 18 studio albums as part of rock/soul duo Hall & Oates. The latter, formed in Philadelphia in 1970, scored hit singles such as “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do),” “Maneater” and “Out of Touch.”

• Winger, 8 p.m. May 2. Winger, formed in New York City, released its debut album in 1988. The hard-rock band’s hit singles “Seventeen,” “Headed for a Heartbreak” and “Miles Away.” Rock bands BulletBoys and Red Voodoo will also perform.

• The Dead South, 8 p.m. May 4. The folk-bluegrass ensemble, formed in 2012, released its fourth studio album “Chains & Stakes” in 2024.

• Eighth Annual Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival, May 1-4. The festival includes 10 first-run feature films and 80 short films, plus live performances, guests, filmmaker Q&As and immersive art. Philadelphia art-rock band Upholstery will perform opening night, with psychological horror film “Alma and the Wolf,” winner of the Boston Underground Film Festival’s Audience Choice Award: Best of Fest Feature, screening. Ethan Embry and Li Jun Li star in “Alma and the Wolf”; director Michael Patrick Jann will attend the screening.

• The Temptations and the Four Tops, 8 p.m. April 25. The groups, formed in Detroit, helped define the 1960s Motown sound with hits such as “My Girl,” “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)” and “Reach Out I’ll Be There.”

• Melissa Etheridge and Joss Stone, 7:30 p.m. April 26. Born in Leavenworth, Kansas, Etheridge has released 16 studio albums since 1988. The rock singer-songwriter’s hit singles include “I’m the Only One” and “Come to My Window.”

• Carly Pearce, 8 p.m. May 2. Born in Taylor Mill, Kentucky, the country singer-songwriter released her debut album in 2017 and her fourth in 2024. Pearce’s hit singles include “Every Little Thing,” “I Hope You’re Happy Now” and “Never Wanted To Be That Girl.”

• Marilyn Manson, 8 p.m. May 7. Born in Canton, Ohio, the rock musician has fronted the same-named band since its 1989 formation. Hits include “The Beautiful People” and “The Dope Show.”

• Gene Simmons Band, 8 p.m. May 8. Born in Haifa, Israel, Simmons co-founded the rock group Kiss in 1973. Kiss, which released 20 studio albums, retired from touring in late 2023.

• Cellar Dwellars, 8 p.m. April 25. The alternative band formed in 2022 in New Jersey, released the tracks “Where I Am” and “Home” in 2024. The Cellar Dwellars recently released the EP “On Air. (Acoustic Versions)” and album “Live at the Sherman Theater.”

• Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, 7 p.m. April 26. The comedian and podcast host appeared in Fox sketch comedy series “MADtv” in the late 2000s. Bon Qui Qui, a rude-fast-food-employee-turned-music-star, was one of her popular characters.
