Slatington Borough Council approved the Lehigh Recreation Board’s request to use Victory Park for summer concerts from 6-8 p.m. on the following dates:

• June 20: The Wonton Soups.

• July 11: AM Radio Tribute Band.

• Aug. 1: Steel Creek.

• Aug. 15: Band of Brothers.

Council also approved the “Two of a Kind Day in the Park” event on July 19, which will include alcohol sales from 2-9 p.m.

The annual Candy Cane Hunt is scheduled for Dec. 13 from 10-11 a.m.

Northern Lehigh Recreation was approved to use the Slatington Trailhead for its Wednesday UnWine’d series:

• July 9: Jeni Hacket.

• July 23: The Two Taboo.

• Aug. 21: Eliza Rush.

• Aug. 27: BURN Unplugged.

• Sept. 10: Jagged Rose.

Caring Hearts received approval to host two events at Victory Park:

• Sept. 20: Third annual Rock the Park & Food Truck Festival (rain date: Sept. 21).

• Dec. 6: Ninth annual Project Warm & Cozy and Community Christmas Trees (rain date: Dec. 7; certificate of insurance required).

The Northern Lehigh Events Committee was approved to hold the annual Halloween Parade on Oct. 25.
