Schuylkill County Court

The following sentences from the Times News region were handed down in Schuylkill County Court:

Bruce Matalavage, 45, of Tamaqua, was sentenced by Judge Christopher Hobbs to 2½ to 7 years in state prison on a charge of possession with intent to deliver leveled by Tamaqua police.

Matalavage will also have to pay the costs of prosecution, plus $991, plus $65 for the monthly supervision fee while serving non-confinement supervision.

John Thomas Shubeck Jr., 24, of Lansford, was sentenced by Judge William Burke to 2-23 months on a charge of robbery-threat of immediate serious injury made by Coaldale Police on July 7, 2024.

Shubeck must also pay the costs of prosecution, plus $400, plus a $100 fine, and $2.79 to Pappy’s Mini Market.

Nikki Gaumer, 30, of Mahanoy City, was sentenced by Judge Christopher Hobbs to one year minus one day to two years minus one day on a charge of endangering the welfare of children leveled by state police at Frackville on June 22, 2024.

She must also pay the costs of prosecution, plus $513.
