State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following crashes that happened on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
• Joseph J. Stetch Jr., 62, of Allentown, was cited for driving while his license is suspended after a two-vehicle crash at 2:30 p.m. April 9 at mile marker 87 in Penn Forest Township. No one was injured in the incident.
Police said he was driving a 1985 Dodge northbound when it “rear-ended” a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer operated by Shelby L. Leisten, 53, of Penfield, New York. Police said the striking vehicle was towed from the scene.
• Nelson S. Zhang, 28, of Berwyn, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:31 a.m. April 12 at mile marker 66.4 in Washington Township.
Police said he was driving a 2011 BMW northbound when it spun out on the wet roadway and hit the center concrete barrier.
• A 24-year-old man from Plumas Lake, California, had “possible injuries” after a crash at 9 p.m. April 7 at mile marker 82.3 in Penn Forest Township.
Police said he was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.
He was operating a 2024 Freightliner Cascadia southbound when it hit the guide rail on the right side of the road and rolled down an embankment, police said. The truck was towed from the scene.
The man was cited after the crash, according to police.
