A home was heavily damaged by fire Saturday night in Tamaqua. The alarm came in around 9 p.m. of a dwelling fire in the 100 block of Penn Street. Tamaqua police arrived first on scene and confirmed a working dwelling fire. Fire companies from as far as Pottsville were dispatched to the scene.
