America the beautiful with her amber waves of grain in Mahoning Township, Carbon County. Today I look out from my back porch on Ashtown Drive and I see rich farmland with a field that produced a bumper crop of field corn. In the near future, I will look out from my back porch and I will see a field with ugly metal solar panels which only produce 1% of the electricity in the United States.

What a shame to use rich farmland for Chinese solar panels with the power going into the grid not for Mahoning Township. Wake up residents of Carbon County (Foot Hills of the beautiful Pocono Mountains) and all of Pennsylvania before it is too late.

Land is being sold to solar panel companies for profit and not for the best use of the land.
