Northern Lehigh School Board — Curriculum

Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following curriculum and instruction matters on Monday:

• Approved the CLIU 2025-2026 facilities plan committee report that was approved by the CLIU Facilities Plan Committee on Feb. 11, and the CLIU 21 board of directors on March 17.

The board reaffirms its commitment to the original construct of the Facilities Planning, approved Nov. 1, 1989, to be considered in determining future locations of the CLIU and school district special education classes.

• Approved to authorized proper officials to enter into an agreement for one Northern Lehigh School District student with special needs to attend Hogan Learning Academy LLC in accordance with the promises and covenants contained in the agreement. The agreement is effective Aug. 18, and terminates on Aug. 14, 2026.

• Rescinded the appointment of Dr. Jennifer Butz as a helping teacher for the 2025-2026 school year, approved on the Aug. 12 board agenda.

• Gabryella Wilder, helping teacher, Katie Cappuccinco, inductee, $800 stipend; Allyson DeHart, helping teacher, Jessica Jackovitz, inductee, $800 stipend; Kara Richardson, helping teacher, Josephine Flugger, inductee, $800; Brittany Warner-Maidman; helping teacher, Kathleen O’Donnell, inductee, $400; Sidney Snyder, helping teacher, Kathleen O’Donnell, inductee, $400; Allyson DeHart, helping teacher, Krista Petrulsky, inductee, $800; Amanda Bariana, helping teacher, Bryan Skrapits, $800; Gabryella Wilder, helping teacher, Bryan Skrapits, inductee, $200; Stephen Jonkman, helping teacher, Mikayla Vangelo, inductee, $800; Nick Sander, helping teacher, Caitlyn Wilder, inductee, $800.

• Agreement with CLIU#20 for administrative costs and Title I instructional services to nonpublic institutions for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year in the amount of $808.

• Foster Care Transportation Plan with Lehigh County Children and Youth, required under Federal Programs for the 2025-2026 school year.

• Administration to enter into an affiliation agreement with Lehigh Carbon Community College in order to provide Northern Lehigh School District’s students with greater options to earn concurrent high school/college credit. The term of the Dual Credit Affiliation Agreement between the district and LCCC will be for five years from the effective date of the agreement.
