The Pleasant Valley School Board approved the following actions and contracts last week:
• Payment from Capital Reserve fund to KCBA Architects for work on the high school renovation project for $33,344.99.
• Advertisement for sealed bids and request for proposal for trash removal and recycling.
• M&M Sight N Sound to be the disc jockey for Homecoming on Oct. 25 for $1,000 to be paid by Pleasant Valley School District Student Government Association.
• Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit 16 computer service rate for 2025-26 for Fund Accounting, Human Resources, and Payroll departments with an estimated cost of $38,275.
• PVSD portion of the paper products cost through the Northampton/Monroe/Pike County Joint Purchasing Board for the 2025-26 school year and the company awarded the contract: W.B. Mason, $39,125.16; and Pyramid School Products, $219.88.
• Partnering with Behavioral Health Associates in the cost savings program. The program requests a 20% down payment of $441,478 in advance allowing BHA to offer reduced daily tuition rates. The down payment is due on July 1 and returned to PVSD in five equal installments from October 2025 through February 2025.
• Purchase of seven high school science carts for $9,964.71, and nine middle school science carts for $12,811.77 from School Specialty through COSTARS with the Ready to Learn Grant.
• Payment from Bond Fund to Fox Rothschild LLP for legal services for $3,365.50.
