• Easter flower sale by Van Hoekelen Greenhouses at Nesquehoning Fire Company, 953 East Catawissa St., from 4-8 p.m. through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; McAdoo Fire Company, 34 S. Kennedy Drive, McAdoo; Valley Regional Fire and Rescue, 668 N. Hazleton High Drive, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Friday. A percentage of sales goes to the fire companies.
Friday
• Albrightsville Fire Company will be selling Easter flowers on April 18 from 9 a.m. until sold out at Pine Point Plaza on Route 903 in Albrightsville. Flowers are hyacinths, tulips, lilies and mums. Call 570-688-3806 or email avfc@ptd.net.
Saturday
• The fifth annual Jim Thorpe Football egg hunt and basket raffle will take place on April 19 at the Jim Thorpe Football Stadium. Gates will open at 9 a.m. There will be three egg hunts: at 9:30, 10 and 10:30 a.m. so the hunts aren’t overly crowded. All children are welcome and will be divided by age at each time slot. There is a cost per family. In addition to the egg hunt and raffle, there will be a bake sale. Plus, bring cameras for photos with the Easter Bunny and the Jim Thorpe mascot. The event will be held rain or shine.
• Palmerton Memorial Park Association, 1255 Third St., Palmerton, invites the Palmerton community to the egg hunt at 11 a.m. April 19. Egg hunts for various age groups from 0-12 years of age. Parking is available in the main pool parking lot and you can walk down to the park area.
Palmerton Pool passes will be on sale for the 2025 season. No rain date.
• Slatedale Fire Department, Easter egg hunt, April 19 at noon, 3922 Main St., Slatedale. Come out and have a fun day looking for eggs, groups based on age. Get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Bring your own basket.
• The Diligent Fire Company #3, 330 Center Ave., Jim Thorpe, will be holding its annual Easter egg hunt on April 19 beginning at 1 p.m. in the area behind the firehouse. This will be an egg hunt in the straw, done by age group, up to age 10, with plenty of prizes, and a basket of treats for each child attending.
• The St. Matthew’s ECC Community Easter Egg Hunt will be April 19 at 1 p.m. at the church grove, 124 Picnic Lane, Kunkletown. Children ages baby through 12 will hunt with their age groups. There will also be snacks, a craft, games and visit with the Easter Bunny. Please bring your own basket. This is a free event for the community. For more information, call the church at 610-381-2442.
• The Summit Hill Recreation Commission will hold its annual Easter egg scurry in Ludlow Park at 1 p.m. on April 19. The Easter Bunny will be there to meet and available to take pictures.
Please arrive a few minutes early. Easter egg hunts across four age groups: 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10 and older, will be staggered to accommodate parents with multiple kids.
No preregistration or sign up is required.
