State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police are investigating a theft incident in Washington Township.

A 66-year-old woman reported at 2:22 p.m. April 5 that someone stole a black metal gate/fence from the backyard of a residence on Northgate Drive, police said.

The gate/fence was valued at $60.

• Police were called to a domestic incident at 11:20 a.m. March 1 on Knoll Court, Heidelberg Township.

They said a 44-year-old woman from New Tripoli told them she was pushed by her ex-husband.

• Police said a 44-year-old woman from New Tripoli was cited for a Dog Law violation after police were called to a property on Knoll Court, Heidelberg Township, at 4:51 p.m. April 1.

They reported that a witness said she observed two Afghan hounds owned by the woman running in the front yard and driveway of her residence.

Police said troopers have had previous encounters with the dogs.

• Police said a 54-year-old Laurys Station woman reported a criminal trespass incident they were called to at 10:11 a.m. March 24 on Aspen Street, North Whitehall Township.

She told police that she was sleeping during the overnight hours of March 22 when someone opened her bedroom window and tapped on her head. She told police the person began yelling at her before fleeing.

• An 18-year-old Coplay woman is facing drug possession charges after police made a traffic stop at 10:42 p.m. March 22.

She was stopped in a 2013 Hyundai at the intersection of Main Street and Slate Alley in Walnutport, after which police found her to be in possession of a plastic bag that contained a green leafy substance police allege is marijuana.

• Sharon Caton, 61, of Slatington, is facing numerous charges after an assault incident at 9:51 p.m. March 28 on Friedens Road in Washington Township.

She is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and domestic violence.

Police said a 71-year-old Slatington man reported the woman was in an intoxicated state and waving a gun and banging on his front door.

Police said they determined a domestic dispute occurred during which the woman pointed a loaded gun at the man and threatened to kill him.

They said the gun was hidden by the suspect but was found behind the house.

• Police responded to a report of an unresponsive female in the bathroom of a property on Main Street, Washington Township, at 6:14 a.m. March 20.

They said a 73-year-old woman from Slatedale suffered from a medical condition that contributed to her death. She was pronounced dead at the scene by a deputy coroner from Lehigh County.
