Several talented young artists had their work on display at the annual District 5 CYO Art, Craft and Photography competition held over the weekend at Ss. Peter & Paul Parish Hall, Lehighton.

“We had a good turnout this year,” said Phil Liska, District 5 CYO commissioner for the Diocese of Allentown and CYO coordinator for Ss. Peter & Paul Parish, Lehighton. “We had about 54 entries from students from St. John Neumann Regional Academy of Palmerton and Slatington, including students from Ss. Peter & Paul Parish, Lehighton, and St. Jerome Catholic School, Tamaqua.”

In the Art Division, the winners were:

Kindergarten

1st place: Dean Wischner, St. John Neumann.

2nd place: Gayneth Kohan, St. John Neumann.

Grades 1-2

1st: Cody Morris, St. Jerome.

2nd: Elizabeth Cotter, St. John Neumann.

3rd: Charlee Valentine, St. John Neumann.
