Heffley to host seminar on concealed carry, Castle Doctrine

State Rep. Doyle Heffley, R-Carbon, is inviting residents of the 122nd Legislative District to his Concealed Carry and Castle Doctrine Seminar.

The free event is scheduled to take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club, 525 Club Road, Palmerton.

“This is a great opportunity for folks to learn more about gun safety and gain a better understanding of the Second Amendment,” Heffley said.

Carbon County District Attorney Michael Greek and Sheriff Daniel Zeigler will also be on hand to talk about a wide variety of firearms safety and Second Amendment subjects including:

• How to obtain a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

• What to do when coming in contact with a member of law enforcement while carrying a concealed weapon.

• Details surrounding Pennsylvania’s Castle Doctrine.

• Other information regarding state gun laws.

A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
