State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police said a 43-year-old Brodheadsville man overdosed on fentanyl, was treated by emergency personnel and then refused to be transported to a hospital after the treatment.

It happened at 3:49 p.m. April 1 on Weir Creek Drive in Chestnuthill Township.

Personnel from the St. Luke’s Emergency Medical Services provided the emergency services, police said.

• A 49-year-old woman from Stroudsburg was targeted in a theft, forgery/fraud incident reported to police.

The resident of Route 715, Jackson Township, told police that $2,194 was removed by an insurance company from a business bank account. Police said the woman did not receive a refund after the incident.

• A 62-year-old Brodheadsville woman was targeted in a theft by fraud or forgery incident that police were called to at 12:31 p.m. March 27 on Weir Lake Road, Chestnuthill Township.

She reported that someone else had cashed her Internal Revenue Service check in the amount of $948.

• Police were called to a burglary on Stony Brook Drive, Jackson Township.

They said that Ronald Bevers, 67, of Kunkletown, reported someone attempted to remove copper piping from the basement of his home before fleeing.

• A 32-year-old Albrightsville man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 12:43 a.m. March 30.

He was stopped in a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee for multiple traffic violations on Interchange Road in Chestnuthill Township.

• An 84-year-old Albrightsville man was cited for scattering rubbish after police were called to a site in Penn Forest Township at 1:02 p.m. March 19.

Police said a passer-by reported observing the man leave a television along the side of Stoney Mountain Road.

• A harassment incident involving a 17-year-old girl from Saylorsburg was reported to police at 3:56 p.m. March 13 on Brink Road, Chestnuthill Township.

The girl told police she received unwanted text messages from a suspect.

• Vincent Bosco, 25, of Jim Thorpe, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a domestic at 10:06 p.m. March 25 on Unionville Road, Penn Forest Township.

Police said he harassed a 57-year-old woman from Jim Thorpe.

• Adam Papazian, 27, of Saylorsburg, was cited for a Dog Law violation after police were called to Whippoorwill Drive, Chestnuthill Township, at 6 p.m. March 25.

Police said a 48-year-old woman from Saylorsburg reported Papazian’s dog was running loose on her property.

• A 17-year-old East Stroudsburg boy was charged for criminal mischief after police were called to a property at Route 715 and Lake Mineola Road, Chestnuthill Township, at 3:16 p.m. March 19.

Police said it is alleged he drove a vehicle onto a basketball court and did “donuts” on it, causing about $2,500 in damage.

Police said the matter has been referred to Monroe County Juvenile Probation authorities.

• Police were called to the Weis Market, 924 Weir Lake Road, Chestnuthill Township, at 9:25 a.m. March 17 for a reported shoplifting incident.

They did not identify a suspect but said a 2012 Toyota was reportedly to be used in the incident.

Items stolen were beer, potato chips, soda, energy drinks, meat sticks and a hand basket, with a total value of $36.
