Entertainment for everyone

Rock/blues guitarist Gary Hoey leads the pack of entertainment coming to local and regional venues over the next couple of weeks.

Hoey, whose new album “Avalanche” arrives May 9, will play the Musikfest Café. The musician, whose hits include covers of 1970s singles “Hocus Pocus” and “Low Rider,” worked with Lita Ford on her 2012 album “Living Like a Runaway” and her upcoming set.

Among other events, country singer Randy Houser will play Penn’s Peak. Country Junction and Becky‘s Drive-In, meanwhile, will hold Easter egg hunts.

The Mahoning Drive-In Theater, opening for its 76th season, heads over the rainbow for pure imagination with “The Wizard of Oz” and “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” The latter’s Paris Themmen, who played rambunctious child Mike Teevee, will attend.
