The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office apprehended seven fugitives this week during a warrant sweep. According to the department’s Facebook page, deputies conducted the sweep on April 8.
Apprehended were:
• James Cavanaugh Jr., who was wanted since 2021 for failing to appear in Carbon County court on a charge of theft by unlawful taking. He was also wanted by Lehigh and Northampton counties adult probation and parole offices on the same charge, as well as out of New Jersey for drug possession. He was apprehended in Slatington.
• Kevin Kolb was apprehended in Hazle Township. Kolb was wanted for failing to appear for a jury trial on April 7 for the charge of DUI-Second Offense.
• Karen Stefanick was apprehended in Lansford. She was wanted by the Carbon County Adult Probation and Parole Office for failing to appear for a hearing for the charge of Theft By Unlawful Taking.
• Ryan Hampton of Palmerton, Daniel Behler of Parryville, Kevin Maguschak of Beaver Meadows and Jason Michell of Summit Hill were wanted by the Carbon County Domestic Relations Office for failing to appear for court regarding child support.
