St. John Neumann holding eco-fest, yard sale
St. John Neumann Regional School announced its inaugural yard sale and eco-fest, taking place on Saturday at the school’s Palmerton campus.
The fun-filled community event, centered around the theme “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,” will bring together local families, businesses, and eco-conscious organizations for a day of shopping, education, and sustainability.
The Yard Sale & Eco-Fest will feature a variety of activities, including:
• Community yard sale tables — Find hidden treasures at unbeatable prices.
• Take a selfie with Woodsy Owl.
• Eco-friendly vendors and informational booths — Learn about sustainability, historic preservation, and green living from local organizations and businesses.
• Plant swap — Bring a plant, take a plant. A great way to share greenery and gardening knowledge.
• Upcycled fashion show — A showcase of wearable art made from recycled or discarded materials, judged live at the event.
• Interactive sustainability activities — Hands-on fun for all ages, teaching ways to make a positive environmental impact.
“This event is more than just a yard sale,” said Erica Heery-Wallace, event coordinator and art teacher at St. John Neumann Regional School. “We want to inspire our community to rethink waste, get creative with upcycling, and celebrate sustainable living in a fun and engaging way.”
Local businesses, nonprofits and artisans are invited to participate by renting a booth to sell goods, share information or showcase their work.
Community members are encouraged to attend, shop and learn while supporting sustainability and local businesses.
