Walker Township supervisors did a road inspection trip around the township to see what roads needed to be repaired.

Supervisors Craig Wagner, Kent Heisler and Matt Koch, along with Road Master Chad Felty made note of the various locations around the area in need of work. The road crews expect to begin doing patching of those areas starting this week.

New England Fire Company responded to nine calls in March.

Fundraisers for the fire company for the month of April:

April 11: Ham ticket drawing.

April 12, 7 p.m.: The Majestics; food and drinks will also be available for purchase.

April 18, 10 a.m.: Children’s Easter Egg Hunt and Fire House Filling Sale.

April 18, 4-7 p.m.: Seafood Combo Dinner includes haddock, crabcake, and shrimp. Add a lobster tail for a fee. Clam chowder is available in pints and quarts. Eat in or takeout.
