Saturday

• Hometown Fire Company will host a children’s event full of egg-citing things to do beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Sponsored by Mauch Chunk Trust, it will includes breakfast of French toast sticks, tator tots and a drink followed by rock painting with Tracey from Sycamore Kula. Children will have the chance to paint six small rocks and one large rock. An Easter egg hunt will follow in the truck room, and the Easter Bunny meet with children for photos.

There is a fee. Seating is limited. To reserve a seat, call or text 570-449-1776.

• Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club Bunny Lunch on Saturday at Lehighton Boys & Girls Band Hall, 197 N. Sixth St., Lehighton. Seatings at 10 a.m. and noon. Includes lunch, visit with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny and a filled Easter basket. For tickets: 570-657-7453.

• St. John’s Lutheran Church of Mahoning, 826 Mahoning Dr. W., Lehighton, Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday at 11 a.m., for children up to age 12.

• The Chestnuthill Township 2025 Easter Egg Hunt is designed for children ages 0-10, and children will be grouped in the field according to their age. The event will begin promptly at 2 p.m. Saturday. The event will be weather dependent, with a rain date of Sunday. See Facebook for changes.

• Cornerstone Community Church, 388 Polk Township Road, Kunkletown: Easter egg hunts, story walk, free food, prizes at 2 p.m. Saturday.

• Becky’s Drive-In, 4548 Lehigh Drive, Walnutport, Saturday. Pay at the ticket booth the day of the egg hunt. Gates open at 4 p.m., and the egg hunt begins at 6 p.m.

The egg hunt is included in the double features and is only open to paying customers. Remember to bring your Easter basket along to use for the egg hunt.

If you only want to attend the egg hunt, you must pay admission, but you will receive one admission pass in return, which you can use once during the 2025 season. Also featured: the Easter Bunny, pony rides, balloon sculptor.

Rain date for the Easter egg hunt will be April 19.

• Adult Nighttime Easter Egg Hunt, 8 p.m. Saturday at Lehighton Outdoor Center, 123 Lehigh Drive, Lehighton. Have a fun night out with adult family and friends, plus win adult prizes. All proceeds will go back into revitalization projects within Lehighton.

• Nesquehoning Hose Company will host an Easter flower sale by Van Hoekelen Greenhouses starting Saturday and running through April 19 at the fire company, 953 E. Catawissa St. Hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 4-8 p.m. April 14 through April 18.

Sunday

• Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church’s first community egg hunt with the Easter Bunny will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, Palmerton. The event also includes a meet and greet with the bunny and free hot dogs and drinks for the family.

• Lehighton Pharmacy’s third annual Easter egg hunt will be Sunday at Baer Memorial Field; the Easter Bunny will be available for pictures starting at 1 p.m. The Easter egg hunt will begin promptly at 2 p.m.

There will be two separate hunts set up, age groups 0-6 and 7-12; prizes will be available per age group.

Free book bag sign-ups will be going on at the event for this upcoming school year.

• The East Penn Township Ashfield Playground Recreation Board will holds its Community Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ashfield Playground, 390 Blue Mountain Road, Lehighton.

There will be multiple age groups (1-12), many prizes and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny. Remember to bring your own basket.

April 18

• Albrightsville Fire Company will be selling Easter flowers on April 18 from 9 a.m. until sold out at Pine Point Plaza on Route 903 in Albrightsville. Flowers are hyacinths, tulips, lilies and mums. Call 570-688-3806 or email avfc@ptd.net.

April 19

• The fifth annual Jim Thorpe Football egg hunt and basket raffle will take place on April 19 at the Jim Thorpe Football Stadium. Gates will open at 9 a.m. There will be three egg hunts: at 9:30, 10 and 10:30 a.m. so the hunts aren’t overly crowded. All children are welcome and will be divided by age at each time slot. There is a cost per family. In addition to the egg hunt and raffle, there will be a bake sale. Plus, bring cameras for photos with the Easter Bunny and the Jim Thorpe mascot. The event will be held rain or shine.

• Palmerton Memorial Park Association, 1255 Third St., Palmerton, invites the Palmerton community to the egg hunt at 11 a.m. April 19. Egg hunts for various age groups from 0-12 years of age. Parking is available in the main pool parking lot and you can walk down to the park area.

Palmerton Pool passes will be on sale for the 2025 season. No rain date.

• Slatedale Fire Department, Easter egg hunt, April 19 at noon, 3922 Main St., Slatedale. Come out and have a fun day looking for eggs, groups based on age. Get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Bring your own basket.

• The Diligent Fire Company #3, 330 Center Ave., Jim Thorpe, will be holding its annual Easter egg hunt on April 19 beginning at 1 p.m. in the area behind the firehouse. This will be an egg hunt in the straw, done by age group, up to age 10, with plenty of prizes, and a basket of treats for each child attending.

• The St. Matthew’s ECC Community Easter Egg Hunt will be April 19 at 1 p.m. at the church grove, 124 Picnic Lane, Kunkletown. Children ages baby through 12 will hunt with their age groups. There will also be snacks, a craft, games and visit with the Easter Bunny. Please bring your own basket. This is a free event for the community. • The Summit Hill Recreation Commission will hold its annual Easter egg scurry in Ludlow Park at 1 p.m. on April 19. The Easter Bunny will be there to meet and available to take pictures.

Please arrive a few minutes early. They will have Easter egg hunts across four age groups: 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10 and older. Egg hunts will be staggered to accommodate parents with multiple kids.
