State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 38-year-old Palmerton man is the victim of a statutory rape/sexual assault incident police are investigating.
Police said the man was treated at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Carbon Campus, Mahoning Township, for what is suspected to be a potential “impaired opposite sex” assault that happened between March 28 and 4:14 p.m. on March 30.
• Police said the driver of a vehicle that stopped at 11:51 p.m. on March 28 on Lehigh Drive (Route 248) in Palmerton is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
Police did not identify the driver of the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, but said the driver is also facing drug possession charges after a consent search of the vehicle yielded a small amount of methamphetamine, marijuana residue and associated paraphernalia.
• A 43-year-old Saylorsburg woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 7:46 p.m. on March 28.
She was stopped in a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.
• A 31-year-old Albrightsville woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 4:13 p.m. on March 20.
She was stopped in a 2018 Subaru Forester for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on West Center Street, Plainfield Township.
