APRIL 4, 1976

A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official opening of an information office of State Rep. Thomas McCall on Saturday.

The office is located at 124 W. Ridge St., Lansford. The lawmaker’s wife, Mary Ann, had the honor of cutting the ribbon to mark its opening.

McCall told those in attendance the main purpose of the office is to answer questions and solve problems of residents of the district.

He said volunteers will staff the office much of the time, but he would be there himself on days when the legislature is not in session in Harrisburg.

No types of state funding are being used for the office as all of the expenses associated with it will be paid for by McCall himself.
