Chamber names development specialist
The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation, partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, has announced the appointment of Jared Soto as its new economic development specialist.
With a strong background in community engagement and municipal leadership, Soto will play a key role in advancing CCEDC’s mission to support business growth and economic development throughout Carbon County.
Soto brings extensive experience in public service, social work and economic revitalization.
He previously served as president of Lansford Borough Council, where he oversaw municipal operations and community initiatives. Additionally, he is an active Panther Valley Blueprint Community team member, working on revitalization projects to enhance the region’s economic sustainability.
His professional background includes roles in mental health services, program management, and interagency coordination, demonstrating a deep commitment to fostering strong, resilient communities.
In his new role, Soto will focus on business outreach, economic development initiatives, and fostering collaboration between local businesses, municipalities and community organizations.
His expertise in community-driven strategies will be instrumental in enhancing business retention, workforce development and investment opportunities in Carbon County.
