The Palmerton and Northwestern track and field teams recorded sweeps in Colonial League action on Tuesday.
TRACK
N. Lehigh-Jim Thorpe
Jim Thorpe and Northern Lehigh split in Colonial League action.
The Olympians claimed an 81-68 win in the boys meet, while the Bulldogs earned an 86-55 victory in the girls meet.
Josh Louk posted wins in the 100 and 200 and Kolby Cavanaugh placed first in the 110 hurdles and triple jump for Jim Thorpe, while Zaid Salih earned victories in the 1600, 3200 and pole vault for Northern Lehigh.
Anna Trelease won the 100 and the discus for the Bulldogs in the girls meet. Stacy Bos (800, 3200), Kelsey Patton (triple jump, long jump) and Aubrey Holland (pole vault, shot put) each won multiple events for the Olympians.

Palmerton swept Catasauqua in Colonial League action.
Payten Fornaro and Connor Hibell were dominant in the distance events. Fornaro won the 800, 1600 and 3200 meters on the girls’ side, while Hibell crossed the line first in all three of the same events on the boys’ side.
Ruby Walters (100H, 300H), Nataly Walters (long and triple jump), and Jake Rutkowitz (110H, triple jump) all added multiple firsts for the Bombers.

Alizabeth Pikitus (100, 400) and Esme Petschauer (discus, javelin) scored multiple wins for the Marian girls.
Jacob Tom posted wins in the 100, 200, 400 and long jump for the Colts, who topped Shenandoah 76-51 but fell to Mahanoy 79-60.
